Parenting a Second Time Around (PASTA)

PASTA is an award-winning curriculum to support caregivers raising children.  with the unique challenges of second-time parenting. Topics include:

  • Child development and behavior

  • Positive discipline strategies

  • Caregiver self-care

  • Grief, loss, and family relationships

  • Legal rights and advocacy

  • Navigating teen years and high-risk behaviors

Positive Parent Program (PPP) 

The Positive Parenting Program is an evidence-based approach that equips caregivers with practical strategies to strengthen relationships, manage challenging behaviors, and reduce family stress. This program helps caregivers:

  • Create safe and supportive environments for children 

  • Encourage positive behavior and healthy development 

  • Use calm, consistent, and effective discipline strategies 

  • Build realistic expectations based on a child’s age and development 

  • Strengthen communication and family relationships 

  • Develop self-care practices to better manage stress and parenting challenges
