The holidays are a time for joy, connection, and creating special memories. For kinship caregivers raising relative children, the season often comes with additional financial pressures and responsibilities. Atlas Alliance's Merry & Bright Holiday Program helps ensure these families can celebrate the holidays with joy, dignity, and hope.

Through the generosity of donors, community partners, and supporters, the program provides holiday gifts and seasonal support to kinship families throughout Metro Atlanta. By reducing financial stress and creating meaningful holiday experiences, Merry & Bright advances Atlas Alliance's mission to strengthen families, promote child well-being, and equip caregivers with the resources they need to thrive.

This year, the program is evolving from the former ISDD Adopt-A-Family Program to a new family-centered model that gives caregivers greater choice and flexibility. Instead of being matched with individual donors, participating families will be invited to a holiday shopping experience where they can select from available gifts for the children in their care. This approach helps ensure that gifts are meaningful, age-appropriate, and tailored to each family's unique needs while preserving the joy and dignity of choosing for themselves.

Together, we can create moments of joy, wonder, and belonging for the kinship families who give so much throughout the year to keep children safe, connected, and loved.
